Lily An was a Research Analyst for Professor John Papay. Her work looks at comparisons of student growth over time and the effects of state student assessment policies on long-run outcomes. She also supports Annenberg faculty and postdocs on math education-related studies. Her research interests include educational measurement, effects and uses of test or evaluation scores, and causal inference methods. She received her Ed.M. `18 in Education Policy and Management from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and her B.A. `15 in Mathematics/Statistics from Williams College. Prior to enrolling in her master's program, she was an Equity Research Analyst at J.P. Morgan and conducted math education research at the University of Connecticut.
