Elyse Armstrong

Research Program Associate
Elyse Armstrong is a Research Program Associate at the Annenberg Institute, where she works with Professor John Papay. Her research interests include causal inference methods, rural education, and data science in education. She holds an M.Ed. in Education Policy and Analysis from Harvard Graduate School of Education and a dual B.A in Geography and Global Studies from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She has conducted previous research on increasing K-12 tech equity through state policy, the impact of nonprofit education services for Hispanic and Latinx youth, and increasing postsecondary success for rural students in Ohio and New York. Prior to joining Annenberg, she served as a Research and Program Implementation Intern at the National Center for Rural Education Research Networks at Harvard University.
