About the Opportunity:
The Annenberg Institute’s Rhode Island Education Research Team brings together local education leaders and researchers to solve pressing educational challenges, with a specific focus on the educator workforce, professional learning, student learning acceleration, and student engagement. Drawing on the complementary expertise and earned trust of partners, we seek to improve Rhode Island student and school experiences through stronger use of data and evidence while producing research that has impact on a national scale.
Responsibilities:
The Project Manager works closely with Annenberg’s Rhode Island Education Research Team helping to design the overall direction of local research projects and leading the projects’ execution. This position may establish and/or maintain relationships with partners and other stakeholders. Responsibilities will include helping to design research plans, collecting data, coordinating the research team’s work, conducting quantitative analyses, and managing other research assistants as needed.
This position requires a strong independent work ethic, interest in education, ability to collaborate with the research team and external partners, commitment to equity, and quantitative research skills. Candidates must possess a willingness and ability to support and promote a diverse and inclusive campus community as part of an organization that centers equity in its work.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience
- 5-years’ experience in education, economics or social sciences field
- Master’s in Education, public policy or other social science field
- Experience in project management, facilitation, leadership, and project design
- A strong quantitative background
- Experience in Stata (or other software like Python or R) to analyze data

- Ability to manage multiple projects
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong analytical and writing skills
- Training and expertise in utilizing quantitative research methods
- Experience in working with complex data sets
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience with data management
- Excellent judgement and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to interact effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Skills with Google suite apps
- Skill/competency with statistical software (e.g., STATA, R).
- Must have a demonstrated ability to support a community of diverse perspectives and cultures in an inclusive environment.
