IFL named Research Partnership for Professional Learning (RRPL) affiliate in the Annenberg Institute at Brown University

Institute for Learning

The Institute for Learning at the University of Pittsburgh is proud to announce that it has become a Research Partnership for Professional Learning (RRPL) affiliate in the Annenberg Institute at Brown University. The partnership will allow the Institute for Learning to work with other RPPL affiliates to advance the usable evidence on teacher learning and improve educational equity for all students.

RPPL is a collaborative of professional learning (PL) organizations, researchers, school systems, and foundations that work towards strengthening program design, results, and efficacy, particularly for historically marginalized student populations. The cross-organizational relationships and practices that RPPL establishes will create the infrastructure for sustained learning in the teacher PL ecosystem for years to come.

As a RPPL affiliate, the Institute for Learning will have access to research findings from studies conducted by RPPL members and researchers, landscape analyses and literature reviews on PL research, and shared measures, tools, and resources created by RPPL members to help conduct research. Additionally, the Institute will have opportunities to participate in monthly discussions, topical conversations, and webinars with RPPL members and researchers.

The Institute for Learning at the University of Pittsburgh is a nationally recognized center for research, evaluation, and professional development in education. Our mission is to improve the quality of education for all students by bridging the gap between research and practice.
