563 Principal Associate Alethea Frazier Raynor has been selected by WTOC - a local TV station in Savannah, GA - to receive their Hometown Hero Award for her work with the Risers Academy for Young Men. Founded by Alethea, the Risers Academy is an all-male pilot program in the Savannah-Chatham County Public Schools in Georgia, designed to help young Black males achieve academic success. Watch Alethea's interview video and read her Voices in Urban Education Perspective about the value and successes of the Risers model.
