Proposals

Proposals for AERA 2011 are due July 15, 2010 and must be submitted online at www.aera.net through the regular submission process. When prompted select the Special Interest Group (SIG) Grassroots Community and Youth Organizing.

> Invitation from our co-chairs

If you're not planning to submit a proposal (or even if you are), there are other ways to be involved:

  1. Sign up to be a REVIEWER, CHAIR or DISCUSSANT. Like all AERA SIGs, we rely on volunteers like you to review proposals and facilitate our sessions. You can volunteer by going to the AERA website, logging on, and choosing the option "Volunteer to be a Chair, Discussant or Reviewer." Be sure to indicate which role you are interested in.

  2. SIGN UP AS A MEMBER of our SIG if you haven't already. More membership means more sessions for our SIG. Go to www.aera.net to register.

  3. FORWARD our website link to anyone you know who would be interested in participating in our SIG this year! Word-of-mouth is one of the best ways to connect with others who are doing important work with youth and communities.
Any questions about the call for proposals can be sent to the program co-chairs: Jean Wing envelope link or Soo Hong envelope link.
